The Taylor County Viking Band has a rich history that dates back to the first football game when the Taylor County Vikings took on the Heard County Warcry on August 31st, 1973. The band program has accomplished much over the past 41 years with their involvement in marching contests, parades, public appearances, and half time shows every Friday night. The Viking Band is a corps style marching ensemble that performs at every home and away game as well as two to three competitions a year. The symphonic and concert ensembles perform numerous times throughout the school year with their most important performance being the District 3 Large Group Performance Evaluation. |
